Look of the Day

[people.com]
I think Julia looks fabulous in her ensemble she wore at the New York premiere of Eat, Pray, Love...it doesn't help that she has mile long legs to go with the outfit! I like the punch of color from her earrings and her funky bangles but I think the best part has to be-hands down..the shoes, the Roger Vivier strappy heels, aren't they delicious :)

Love the look and can't wait to watch her in Eat, Pray, Love--love love love the book!

Catching Up & Playing (Or Should I Say Living) House

I know I promised pictures from the Bachelorette Party this past weekend in NYC (and I realized I never posted some from the shower my family threw me a few weekends ago back home in CT so those will need to be uploaded too) but I am currently trying to catch up, especially since I've been super busy and all of the place lately..

I am currently trying to make it through my list of-
~a pile of laundry
~bills/mail
~wedding planning decor details
~work crazyness prepping for the upcoming school year
~trying to get some ZZZzzzz's
Just realized that this Saturday will mark 5 weeks out from the W.E.D.D.I.N.G*!~!~!~!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!

I had one of the best times of my life this weekend as I celebrated my Bachelorette party with my wonderful, fabulous friends in NYC!! I felt so special and loved by all of my friends and enjoyed lunching and shopping with them in the West Village on Saturday-ending the afternoon with a Magnolia cupcake and having festivities at La Bottega and ending the night at a club with an awesome 80's band!

I will post some pictures tonight! Cheers to the friends in my life that make me so complete-i love you girls, you're simply the best, better than all the rest :-):)

N.Y.C. Bachelorette Rendezvous

my Bachelorette number
love the criss cross on the back and the fun colors for August!

Today I am working, obviously-yawn..then meeting up with my childhood buddy, Ellen, who is in Baltimore for the summer...so it will be so nice to catch up--I haven't seen her since Christmas, sigh, so it's been awhile. When I see her we always share in many laughs and I'm reminded why we've remained good friends for so many years... then I have some last minute laundry and organization to do this evening and hopefully I can squeeze in a run tonight.

Tomorrow I am offff to NYC with my MOH--we are training it up Friday afternoon and will explore the city some, get a mani and pedi, grab some dinner and relax then on Saturday we are meeting up with some friends and doing some more NYC things :) Saturday night is my bachelorette dinner at La Bottega which I can't wait for-I got a new dress for the special night proabably like 6 months ago at Anthropologie [see above pics]... and then there is a surprise activity after dinner that I will be sure to report back about..

EEKS, so excited :):):)

Two Great Men--Who to Chose?

cuties

From the very beginning Roberto was my favorite guy on The Bachelorette! It didn't take very long before I just knew he was my fav guy---those looks, that smile, the muscle, the charm, the romance and exotic flair that is practically his scent. He just seems like a good guy too and is active and outgoing which seemed to be perfect for what Ali is looking for....all along he's been my favorite...

I was so happy to see her end up with Roberto but I have to say when I watched the finale with Emmy last night over angel food cake with berries and some freshly made whip (I should call myself Betty Crocker :P ) my heart sank when Ali said goodbye to Chris who also seems like a winner next to Roberto. He is such a family-oriented man, not many people out there would drop everything and move back home to take care of the family and watch their mother pass away. He is a real class act and seems so genuine and loving and he's a New England boy so of course I love that about him too.

I thought he seemed so great how he took Ali's decision and the rainbow reference was really lovely too...go Chris, I'm sure you'll find a sweetheart out there!

It was so nice to see the Bachelorette end with two great men...Ali couldn't have gone wrong with either--best of luck to them, I hope they can escape the media and it's harsh edge~

hopefully they will stay in sync

No Turning Back Now!

invitations-so many choices, so little time to get it all done!

my invitations, lined up and ready (notice the piperlime box-my mom is like her daughter, a shopper at heart :) )

As my mom said yesterday-"there is no turning back now!" in regards to the invitations that have finally been completed (thanks to my momma) and are as we speak being dropped off at the post office-eeks!

A lot of work has been put into these bad boys and I am so excited to share the final product but no close-up pictures yet until everyone receives them via the mail...

Lilly for Fall

Lilly Lovers beware...
I had to stick these into the mix because I saw them on a blog and think they are the cutest-love animal crackers and have always loved Lilly so great combo :)

It's hard to believe that it is already August and with my bachelorette nyc adventure this weekend, a church engagement weekend next, my last bridal shower back in CT and Orientation events for work coming up in the last few days of August-I know this month is going to go fast!!

I was looking at the new Lilly collection for Fall and love the vibrant looks and funky patterns. Here is a little sneak peak~

love this for early Fall when I'm still trying to hold onto the last of the summer loveliness
love this top for the chilly months of fall to add some spice to the season!
