Looking Better Than Ever!

I've never really been much of a JLo fan...I use to feel badly for all of the scrunity and bad press she would have to take for her famous behind. I never got it because I'd think--it really is not that big... If hers is big than mine must be too?!! :) I guess I never felt that badly--her famous booty helped define her "look" and image.

Sure she has battled her way from the block and gained herself much success and fame today but I've never been overly impressed by her. Either I feel that she is trying to hard, attempting to pull off ultra sexy outfits or just being too big of a diva...

However, I have to say that she now looks better than ever after having twins. I think she looks incredible! I have to even go as far to give her some credit and say I've liked some of her recent looks and applaud her on how pulled together and chic she looks these days. It appears that she has put her old ways behind her--that were full of sleeze, too much skin and everything very much over the top. She seems to have come a long way and really looks glowing and represents womanhood well. I'd like to get some of her tips and hope I look that good after having babies too...

Lindsay-from The White Dress (in Clinton CT) helped me with my wedding dress fittings and is a one-of-a-kind woman and person with the warmest heart. I love, love, lovee this spread of a sweet inspiration shoot that was done on the Grey likes Weddings site. From the lovely lady-like details topped off in magical fun to the girly free, I adore it all. If I were having a Valentine's Day party with my lady loves this would totally be the look.

Pleasure Pieces

~Pieces of pleasure scattered through my days~

1.) Lavinia's guest post on my blog comparing her style with mine (Kate Spade-esque, not sure if this comparison is true but I'm flattered nonetheless). I felt so honored to have such a great friend write her charming piece that captured her so well and us... and how we compliment each other so well despite our differences and are a perfect pair :)

2.) It has become a tradition that I hardly think about anymore because it comes so naturally but I really love and appreciate my hand holding at bedtime with my husband. I always search under the covers for his warm hand and feel so at home when our hands intertwined as we journey off into dream world together. {Long ago when we first started dating one of the sweet memories I have of us is laying on my bed in my dorm room and waking up with my hand in B's hand and us curled together, such a precious thought and I will never forget it}.

3.) Fresh flowers from the store to brighten up our apartment and bring some of that spring vibe into our lives.

4. In an effort to drink more water I have been adding lemon and lime slices to enhance my lovely water's taste and therefore make me drink more of the good stuff...I feel so spa like-just need one of these {how cute is it, right?!} and some more fresh fruit (too bad it's not available all year long...better move to CA or Fl :-)

5.) Checking out Mod Cloth--I stumbled upon this somewhere and it has a mix of low priced items as well as more expensive items, I've found several things I like, especially some fun things that might be great pieces for our vacation to Cabo in early March!

End it on a Sweet Note or the Ultimate Gift!

Make sure tonight you end your day on a sweet note...we watched an icecream special last night and it made me want our fav Ben and Jerry's combo so badly-chunky monkey! yummooo

My girl, Emily, recently introduced us to a famous spot in Cincinnati called Graeters. It is the only ice cream place in the country-and even in the world, I believe, that still uses the old fashioned French Pot Process which makes two gallons of ice cream at a time as opposed to places that can churn out a lot more ice cream... but Graeters wins on taste, creaminess, density and all of the above. Being the sweetheart that she is, Emily sent some of this special stuff to my parents to thank them for hosting her during her MOH time to me, and B and I fell in love with the icecream too! That is..when we could finally get a small sample from my dad who was quite the hoarder of the tasty ice cream :) Now we are looking for the perfect excuse to order ourselves some of the goodness~

The best is the black raspberry chip...next time you need a fun and different way to thank a good friend for playing hostess or to cheer up a loved one, order some GRAETERS, they will not disappoint, I promise.

My mom has continued her reliable morning delivery of inspiration and positive word groupings, quotes and other fun tid bits! I have enjoyed them greatly and they keep my chugging forward and in full reminder of all that I have in my life.
