Ipad Craze!

here is my guy with his hands on an Ipad, in the store

the man :)

a fun new gadget... I hope to have in our apartment soon

What does everyone think of the latest craze-the IPAD :) I know my honey is obsessed with anything Apple-he has an Ipod, Iphone, the Macbook Air. I tell him that he should work for Steve Jobs and share his passion for Apple with others as their official spokesman, hehe.

I know a lot of people think why not get the Kindle if you want to read books on a screen but the Ipad has so much more to offer and is just a few hundred more dollars so I think it's worth the investment over the kindle, although they could have picked a better name, I mean IPAD, really?!!!

A Beautiful Woman Inside and Out

boat ride through the Thimbles

together in Italia

My mom is really quite the woman and has dedicated her life as a stay-at-home mom to the upbringing of my brother and me. She toted us around to soccer practice, play dates, basketball practice, tennis lessons, flute and baritone music rehearsals, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, was a PTO mom and gave countless hours to us to ensure that we developed into people with strong morals and big hearts and I have to say she did a wonderful job.

Now with my wedding approaching in September she has dedicated countless hours to making sure that my wedding is perfect down to the very last detail. It has been hard planning my wedding from afar, while I am in D.C., and she is in CT, but despite the distance, she has been my main event planner and made the process flawless. When I come home for visits, she has her mountain of wedding magazines waiting, new ideas to ask me about, swatches to show me, e-mails to brief me on, and has always been respectful of that fact that this is my wedding from the very beginning. I often compare her to Martha Stewart because of her creativity. A few years back, she started her own embroidery and monogramming business and it really has shined a light on her many talents.

As my wedding nears, I constantly witness my mom's generous ways and loving touch and hope she knows how much I love her for all that she does, and for all that she is.

I owe her all the thanks in the world....

I know I will have a similar moment on my monumental day xoxo

Appreciate Every Moment

I am constantly reminded of how fragile life is and of all its tender moments. After reading an article about UVA today-where a girl, only a few years younger than myself, was found dead, with the suspect being her ex-boyfriend, I couldn't help but feel a loss for two talented, and young souls that lost their lives too young in a tragic event.

Weekend Delight

Had a wonderful sushi date with my babe at our fav local spot and we ended the night with some green tea ice cream. So refreshing and satisfying, especially on a 90 degree night!

Keep Loved Ones Close to Your Heart

I am truly greatful for the friends & family in my life and for my wonderful fiancee :)

GRANDMA CARTA
A remarkable woman

Grandma with Sarah-isn't she the cutest?

It is always important to reflect on your life and cherish the close relationships of friends, family, significant others close to your heart. As I watch my grandmother turn 90 recently and struggle with difficulities that come with age I reminsce about memories I've shared with her as a young girl and what a role model she has been to me.
A few days ago, my dad told me that she is already planning out a special outfit to wear at my wedding and told him she wouldn't miss it for the world. She is quite the fashionista with one of the biggest hearts imaginable.

Right now she is in the hospital after a few falls and a broken wrist. Sending love and warm thoughts her way. I love you grandma
