MIA

I've been MIA big time recently, I've been totally slammed with getting ahead at work with all of my Fall events and also wedding planning--CAN'T BELIEVE MY WEDDING IS 10 DAYS AWAY, totally flipping out!! ahhhh

Anyway I have two more days in D.C. then head home to CT for a week off before the wedding which will be full of appointments-a facial, ahh :) etc. I am currently in the process of packing for home/my mini-moon in Nantucket. Any suggestions for packing for Nantucket in September? I've heard it can be cool at night and kind of all of the place...thoughts welcome...

I'll be back...hopefully it won't take me as long to return!!

Thank You Note's

I have been writing thank you notes left and right for the three bridal showers I had, and now I am working on writing thank you's for wedding gifts that are coming in. Cranes stationary is so elegant and timeless but recently I have been picking up wooster & prince papers stationary every time I am making a visit through Anthropologie. They have such interesting designs and every notecard is such a piece of art, it's hard for me to use them because they are so pretty-I just want to treasure them in the fun little pack they come in :) I'm such a dork...

I am constantly picking up thank you cards, birthday cards, and other occasion cards to hold onto for whenever I might need them!

Mini Moon Update

I am so excited to report that I have booked part of our mini moon in Nantucket at The Wauwinet and am so looking forward to being at this great location, with martini in hand, sitting by the water, with my husband. Hoorayy! For the remaining part of our stay, I think we'll stay at The Jared Coffin House in town and enjoy another perspective as we roam the cobblestone streets, indulge in some shopping and take in the joy of being married.

a local landmark for as long as I can remember...a spot that can't be missed and I can't wait to introduce my soon-to-be-hubby to the raspberry crumb bars, so delish!!! I remember digging into them as a small girl as they were always brought back to the house on any of our visits to Nantucket

A Connecticut Summer Weekend

I might not have hit the beach this summer or gotten that sun kissed tan I've been dreaming about or had a real vacation in awhile but I truly treasure the weekends I go home for wedding planning and fun! This weekend I am off to CT for only a short weekend but I know it will be filled to the brim with love and times I will always remember, especially during this very happy time in my life.

I have my last bridal shower (I've been spoiled with 3 bridal showers thrown by family and friends that are so dear to me) with my childhood friends and their mothers...I know it will be a perfect event! My friend KP sent out the cutest green and pink Lilly invites, I heart them.

We are going to celebrate my dad's birthday (the actual day being this past Tuesday) with some chocolate mousse cake and some bocce ball games!

There are plenty of final details to take care of like finalizing the wedding dinner menu, the final touches for the cake and much more
