Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother! You taught me to believe in myself, instilled life-lasting values and morals in me, showed me the way and loved me for who I am. I am forever grateful to you for bringing me into the world, I feel so blessed and appreciative.

Thank you today and every day for all that you have done for me and for being you. I love you, mom.

Cupcake Fondue

I love how this concept combines two of my favorite things, cupcakes and fondue! I would definitely enjoy making these with my girlfriends over a girls weekend or for a fun birthday party. I love entertaining and finding fun ideas like this that are absolutely adorable and also interactive (thanks to my sister-in-law who passed this on to my mom, who then passed it on to me!) I think any excuse you have to whip these little cakes up, sounds perfect to me :-)
For more information on how to make these cute little guys, visit here.

I suggest you go over to Bake It Pretty to pick up some pretty baking cups, sprinkles and all things wonderful for your little cakes!

~Happy Saturday~

Royal Mad Hatter

My favorite hat from the Royal Wedding was sported by fashion-forward Princess Beatrice at William and Kate's wedding...along with her gorgeous cream Valentino Haute Couture dress and coat. I thought she looked stunning and I loved her whimsical twist on a classic bow hat.

She seems to know how to be pulled together and classy but also has a playful twist, which I like and respect. She knows how to have fun with fashion and thats what its really all about!

My Fav Snaps of the Royal Wedding

I didn't wake up to watch the whole wedding live but have been reading the headlines and catching glimpses of all of the wedding in its glory and magnificence. I am finally watching my tivo'ed version right now and posting my favorite shots. As I predicted, my mom wanted to text me the morning of the wedding but remembered I was still fast asleep and so she emailed me instead and I loved what she said,

" hahaha, you crack me up!! i just read your blog as i was watching the wedding..since 5!..and you got it rite...i was going to text you but realized it would be too early for you and you would yell at me!
love her dress...interesting...you wore a lace dress and i wore a dress with lace top and long sleeves (in lace)...hmm...we are in tune with kate...i knew i liked her!!
talk to you later...."

I love my mom's several exclamation points, her dot dot dots, and her cute little message. She was right though, Kate you represented us well and we are proud to call you our Princess :-)

There simply are no words. I love this couple and think they embody deep love, sophistication, grace and are beautiful together. May they always keep one another close! I have now been married since September, hard to believe how fast time flys! It has been an amazing journey so far, one in which I am traveling down with my true love and best friend. While listening to the Royal Wedding I heard a few lines that I really loved:

Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire
Marriage is intended to be a way in which man and woman help each other to become what God meant each one to be-their deepest and their truest selves.

What A Welcome to May :)

USA pride, I love my country

birthday fun

birthday flowers

I love the month of May-the flowers are in bloom (I have deemed irises my birthday flower because they always come out in time for my special day), the air is nice and cool, the sunshine is out more often and it is my birthday month... so what month could be better?!

More importantly than my birthday coming up in the end of the month, is the victory that was broadcast last night that Osama Bin Laden was killed! This news makes me so proud of our Navy seals who went in and did this and must provide some comfort, relief, and peace to those who lost loved ones in 9/11, now 10 years ago. Good riddens, Bin Laden. and God bless the U.S.A.
