Oscar Eye Candy

Watching the Oscars has always been a special treat, I love clothes, fashion and any excuse to dress up and look your best. I remember watching them even when I was a young girl with my face almost pressed to the television screen. My favorite looks so far are Mandy Moore (definite favorite, wowsers!) and Mila Kunis. I'll report back more later but for now I will be tuned in to all the glamour and Hollywood celebs with a big bowl of homemade soup and my husband's commentary in my right ear...hehe...

Product Alert

I tend to find myself wandering onto the Cambria Cove website a lot to explore their fun products and end up torturing myself with all of the many things I want but hardly need. I have stumbled across this amazing contraption and think its such a great little product, oh and it comes in yellow too :) Said to be the E-Z Bake Oven for grown-ups, I would be all over this machine that makes up to 8 cupcakes in about 5-8 minutes, as well as scones, tartlets, quiches and more.

Sit down at your computer for a few minutes with a mug full your favorite tea and take a look at this beauty! Happy Saturday, everyone~

"This constant uncertainty may make everything seem

bleak and almost hopeless; but if you look more deeply

at it, you will see that its very nature creates gaps,

spaces in which profound chances and opportunities for

transformation are continuously flowering if, that is,

they can be seen and seized."

Not too Exciting Round here...

I feel like I have been humming a similar tune to my girl, LCM, and don't have much to report back besides working away in the office, taking care of my sick hunny whose been sick for a solid week now [totally unheard of for my man who is never sick, maybe once a year ] getting organized in our apartment, as we were handed over some treasures from my dad this weekend like some nice antique chairs (to replace two IKEA chairs that are about to break, every time I sit in one of them I wonder how long it will be until I find myself on the floor in a tangled mess :)!) and a gorgeous Oriental rug, among some other fun charms that I will always love.

Dreaming about spring shopping, including some new rain boots and also daydreaming about our week long trip to Cabo coming up in early March--that is definate major fun news but with working away here and bringing my husband back to good health, it seems far away at the moment...

Help me decide which rain boots I should order up:

OPTION A-Kate Spade-esque
OPTION B-BIKER CHICK TAKES ON CHIC LADY

I know that the Kate Spade boots seem so fitting for me, they compliment my love for bows, the color balance is fun for spring or winter, the wedge brings in my ladylike passion. They are simply classic and sweet. But the Hunter option I keep coming back to because I also love the wedge on them, the strap is understated enough but adds a hip element, black is obviously very chic and goes with everything.
What do you all think...need some additional opinions :-)

The Pure Goodness of Home

{my buddy for life and and former college roommate, having a fun sleepover tonight like old times :) }

{Bentley, anxious to meet the little guy and cuddle!}
{love this place..our green in town-so many memories from the Little Folks Fair to festivals and bike rides with friends}

{explore my cute hometown and the fun shops by the green}

{excited to try Zinc to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday and B's recent graduation}

{it will be fun to hang out in New Haven around the Yale campus}

I am heading home to Connecticut today for the long weekend. I am very much looking forward to seeing my family, in-laws, one of my best girlfriends from college, Erica, and her new puppy, Bentley (sleepover tonight with them-which is a nice stop on my long excursion to the eastern part of CT). This weekend is bound to be filled with fun memories, time spent between my parents and B's parents and indulging in the goodness of home.

Celeb Look Love

{obsessed with those cream beauties, this beachy look is amazing}

{Victorian meets sexy}

{I wanttt that bag and that funky colorful scarf}

{chic mama--one of my fav looks}

{simple, pretty, stunning...}

{adore this ikat skirt, wish i had one in my closet too}

{even in her "grunge" gear she looks adorable and so pulled together}

I'm a huge Reese Witherspoon lover-I think she is classic, sophisticated, elegant, gorgeous and flawless all in one-which is hard to find these days in female role models, especially in hollywood. I think her overall look and what she represents as a person couldn't get more squeaky clean.

I also have noticed what a fan I am of Rachel Bilson's style-although I don't know her as well as a person and actress (based off of magazines and interviews, I mean..not know know her) I think she is pulls of the classic look with a fun, versatile twist. She wears all things well and takes risks with bold bursts of color and all sorts of pieces but always looks pulled together and classy.
Maybe she has a sharp eye for fabulous pieces or knows what works on her small frame, whatever the case, I'm impressed...

{I've had my eye on this Chloe purse for so long, it is one of the prettiest bags I've ever seen! There is something about it I find so polished}

{crisp and classic}

{this Madewell polka dot dress makes her look say praire goes glam}

{just an awesome look}

Looking Better Than Ever!

I've never really been much of a JLo fan...I use to feel badly for all of the scrunity and bad press she would have to take for her famous behind. I never got it because I'd think--it really is not that big... If hers is big than mine must be too?!! :) I guess I never felt that badly--her famous booty helped define her "look" and image.

Sure she has battled her way from the block and gained herself much success and fame today but I've never been overly impressed by her. Either I feel that she is trying to hard, attempting to pull off ultra sexy outfits or just being too big of a diva...

However, I have to say that she now looks better than ever after having twins. I think she looks incredible! I have to even go as far to give her some credit and say I've liked some of her recent looks and applaud her on how pulled together and chic she looks these days. It appears that she has put her old ways behind her--that were full of sleeze, too much skin and everything very much over the top. She seems to have come a long way and really looks glowing and represents womanhood well. I'd like to get some of her tips and hope I look that good after having babies too...

{looking glamorous in forest green}

{ love this summer look-polished and pretty}

{in layers and edgy boots looking cute and girly}

{greek goddess sophistication}
